This notice is to inform the market of the intention to commission a contract to provide In-County Initial Health Assessment for Children and Young People in Worcestershire via the Most Suitable Provider Process.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Paragraph 10 - The Most Suitable Provider Process is being used to commission this service. This notice will be live for fourteen (14) days from the date of publication.

The Trust would like to commission a service to provide in-County Initial Health Assessments for Children and Young People in Worcestershire, see the following service outline
• 4 month pilot to test effectiveness of a CQC organisation utilising GMC registered Doctors to undertake Initial Health Assessments for Children Looked After in Worcestershire.
• Delivery of the pilot must be compliant with Statutory time frame for completion of assessment and use CORAM BAAF templates
• Assessments must take place face to face in Worcestershire
• 4 individual assessments per week at a Worcestershire clinic setting to be identified by HWHCT
• Cost per assessment to include all aspects of the assessment including completion of appointments, documentation, letters, referrals, individual care plan and identification of necessary follow up.

The provider must be able to deliver this service safely and effectively from the contract start date of 2nd December 2024 however, commissioners reserve the right to amend the contract start date.

The contract will be for a 4 month period
Providers must be able to deliver the service within the budget envelope. The Total contract value is £80,000 to include the above individual assessment costs, travel costs and induction to HWHCT clinical systems.

Provider(s) wishing to express interest and be considered for the Most Suitable Provider process must register on Atamis and submit response via Atamis stating you would like to be considered.

All expressions of interest must be submitted by 14th November 2024

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.

The decision to award the contract will be made by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust.

It is the intention to award a contract using the most suitable provider process.
