Scope
Description
The proposed tender is intended to secure long-term overhaul and repair of Hydraulic dampers for London Underground (LU) 1972 Tube Stock (72TS), used on the Bakerloo line and to maximise LU's intellectual property rights (IPRs) over the designs, recognizing that there are likely to be existing IPRs owned by the supplier. See section Q13 of the Preliminary Market Engagement document.
The proposed scope for this tender covers the repair and overhaul of Bogie Dampers for London Underground (LU) 1972 Tube Stock (72TS), used on the Bakerloo line.
These items form part of the suspension on the train which reduce the effect of travelling over rough surfaces leading to improved ride quality and vehicle handling. Their main purpose is to limit excessive suspension movement.
The dampers form part of the suspension on the train and fit between the car body and bogie either in a nominally vertical or lateral orientation.
