seven.2) Information about modifications
seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
The Authority prepared and was ready to publish the re-tender for the Business and Management Consultancy and Related Services framework agreement in August 2022. Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the Authority's new e-procurement portal having technical issues and not being functional for the requirements of launching a tender to enable compliant evaluation processes on the expected launch date, the Authority was unable to go live and publish the contract notice originally planned. The Authority had no alternative option to publish the tender as the Authority's previous procurement portal was terminated when the contract for the new procurement portal went live and therefore the authority could not rely on the previous portal. The authority has been working extremely hard to resolve this issue and because of this issue there is a need to modify the term of the contract by 9 months. Due to the critical nature of the services under this framework agreement on some key areas of the NHS, the authority would like to extend the framework agreement for 9 months to avoid a gap in the service available to its approved organisations.
