In March 2022 Buckinghamshire Council was awarded £578,000 from the DEFRA Air Quality Grant scheme to refurbish and electrify a 26 tonne RCV.

This funding will be used to refurbish and electrify one of the Council’s existing diesel vehicles and, in addition, procure an extended warranty package and all spare parts required for a five-year period.

The Council also require training on safe use of the vehicle for its operatives and training and tooling for our Workshop team to enable regular servicing and maintenance of the electrified vehicle to be completed inhouse.
