The aim of the CYP Digital Mental Health Service will be to improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of all CYP, who have emerging needs across the Derbyshire ICS footprint by providing an early response and increased access through the use of digital services built around the needs and views of CYP.

Service delivery objectives include:

• Offer therapeutic interventions and access to support at the times when CYP need it.

• Improve access to the provision of self-care tools and resources which support CYP and their families to help themselves and build resilience

• Provide an accessible, safe, secure, online environment for CYP to be able to discuss their emotional wellbeing and mental health with peers and trained Therapists.

• If delivering structured intervention use evidence based assessment tools and interventions, set SMART goals with CYP and provide pathways into other services, as required.

• Ensure CYP who are identified as more at risk of experiencing emerging mental health needs such as, BAME, CYP with SEND, excluded CYP or CYJ are able to access the appropriate level of support when it is needed.

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The contract value was modified to increase the number of hours covered under the contract.

Additional funding was agreed to increase the contract value by a total of £156,708.20 between the period of April 2023 - December 2024.

seven.2.2) Reasons for modification

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.

Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:

The contract value was modified to increase the number of hours covered under the contract in order to meet unmet additional patient need and an increase to the patient population covered by the contract, following a change in commissioning responsibility for the Glossop region, which transferred to Derby and Derbyshire ICB. These circumstances could not have reasonably been foreseen by Derby and Derbyshire ICB when the contract was initially awarded.
