two.2.4) Description of the procurement

UKRI STFC is seeking a supplier to develop and deliver an online learning programme focusing on how UKRI STFC can transition to net zero with a focus on embedding environmental sustainability and transforming UKRI STFC. The learning programme will contain a blend of scientific expertise, theories on key topics around the transition to net zero and some UKRI STFC tailored material.

The audience is very broad, including academic scientists and researchers, engineers, estate and office staff so the content needs to meet and resonate this diverse audience and the successful supplier will need to deliver a credible solution and of a high academic calibre to resonate with the target audience.

The programme must:

- Focus on cultural change, organisational change and systems change.

- Be action focused, the learner needs to come away with a personal action plan to deliver in their area of the organisation and within their sphere of influence.

- Build knowledge of key sustainability challenges for reaching net zero within UKRI STFC and include a wide variety of topics such as systems thinking, the interconnection, the transition to net zero, Sustainable Development Goals, organisational transformation, circular economy, and life cycle analysis.

- Introduce the learner to expectations, risks and opportunities for sustainable organisations.

- Introduce tools to facilitate behavioural change and in some instances leadership by focusing on the future and the creation of a positive sustainable future.

- Include and demonstrate a complexity of issues and include a wider range of topics, such as systems thinking and circular economy.

The programme will:

- Be delivered online via a self-taught approach under a set timeframe of about 2 or 3 months for each cohort of learners, which will hold the learner accountable for the completion of the course.

- Be flexible, online and self-taught, where learning needs will be delivered in modules or 'bite sized' units for staff who are busy with the day job. The learner must be able to access the programme when it suits them which might be out of "normal office hours".

- Be delivered online in its entirety, through self-taught modules. There cannot be any live sessions.

- Be short, informative, engaging, and professional in its delivery. It must be tailored to meet the target audience for UKRI STFC.

- Be interactive, for example, the inclusion of online question and answer sections to test the learner's understanding.

- It must include a variety of interactive content such as videos, text, quizzes, infographics, diagrams, and podcasts. The content needs to be high specialised and specific to the needs for UKRI STFC and to contain a balance of images and text. It is expected the package will need to sit on an appropriate interactive e -Learning management system.

- The content needs to be hosted on the suppliers learning management system. The supplier needs to be responsible for all enrolment and log ins, feedback forms at the end of the course, any technological issues and reporting on participant information. The programme will not require extensive support from UKRI STFC.

- The programme will be closed source and only accessible to STFC staff within UKRI.

- When the participant completes the programme there will be a formal notification and recognition of completion, such as an email or a virtual certificate to show they have completed it.

- The supplier will use a mixture of their own pre-approved content and will also work with UKRI STFC to develop new and specific UKRI STFC relevant content that will be embedded into the learning programme.

- The supplier working in collaboration with UKRI STFC will tailor the content to meet audience requirements.

- The programme will be delivered in 2 phases. The first phase of this project is the learning design and pilot. the second phase is the delivery, which will start immediately after the success of the pilot
