seven.2) Information about modifications
seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
Online diagnostic IT system linked to our Open Housing System to enable staff and customers to diagnose repairs and place corresponding orders. For the next phase of the project, customers will be given the ability to manage (change and/or cancel) their own appointments using 'Track &Amend' function in order to achieve a reduction in 'no access' rates on jobs. There will also be less impact on the Customer Services & Planning Teams who currently have to reschedule appointments.
seven.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
The original tender requirement document stated that ‘the system must integrate with our appointment system and offer real time appointment options’, this formed part of the evaluation process. Making initial appointments is in the current contract, so this is an add on. Adding the additional costs of this exemption to the scored evaluation of the original procurement to their bid alone would not have changed the winning bidder
seven.2.3) Increase in price
Updated total contract value before the modifications (taking into account possible earlier contract modifications, price adaptions and average inflation)
Value excluding VAT: £45,000
Total contract value after the modifications
Value excluding VAT: £252,860
