Description
The procurement of the operation of Group Travel & Shoppers Services in the local authority areas of Tyne and Wear with effect from 12th September 2025. It is anticipated that 8 contracts will be let and operate between 8th September 2025 to 19th September 2026.
There will be an option to extend for a further two years, to be reviewed annually. Services provided will operate to specified timetables. Vehicles used in the performance of this Contract shall be fully licensed as a Public Service Vehicle (PCV) or a Community Transport vehicle, licenced under Section 19 of the Transport Act, 1985 (CT). They should also be compliant with the terms of the Equality Act 2010. Vehicles will have a minimum 16 seats and be capable of being configured to carry a minimum of two wheelchairs with a minimum of eight seated passengers.
