Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) is looking to appoint a firm of Architects to take an existing design from its current RIBA Stage 1 (Preparation & Briefing) through to RIBA stage 2 (Concept Design) and RIBA stage 3 (Spatial Co-ordination) services in connection with the Council’s redevelopment works of the Former Royal Mail Sorting Office (FRMSO), and Cantium House (CH), Maidstone. The RIBA Stage 1 work which is nearing completion will be shared with those who express an interest in tendering for the project. This will be made available via the Kent Business Portal by Friday 7th January 2022. Please refer to the Schedule of Services required (Appendix C).
The appointment will be made on the basis of services provided up to and including detailed planning application submission and any liaising with the planning authority as required post submission to enable a detailed planning consent.
