Scope

Description

Provide specialist workers to enable members of the public who need additional support to meaningfully engage with a complex legal process and make their own decisions. The lots are: 1. Mental Health Lay Advocacy 2. Cognitive Impairment Lay Advocacy 3. Physical Impairment Lay Advocacy 4. General Lay advocacy 5. Intermediaries

Mental health but may also need support due to issues such as: Physical impairment (including long term health issues) Acquired brain injury Neurological disorders Learning disabilities/ difficulties Conditions on the Autistic spectrum Asperger's syndrome Children and young people Older people People who are isolated or only have limited access to support Currently affected by a difficult life event (this list is not exhaustive)

Justification for not publishing a preliminary market engagement notice

Having previously tendered these services NMC is aware that this is a limited market place. On researching the current market space this is still the case therefore knowing the competition NMC feels there is no reason for a pre-market engagement exercise.
