Description

KWL are seeking Sub-contractors to carry out replacement and upgrades to Wet Rooms, Bathrooms and Kitchens (+Minor Alterations) to Hull City Council's Domestic Housing Properties. This contract will run for a period of 2 years with an option to extend by a further two years on a 1 + 1 basis.

The works will cover replacements and upgrades to Kitchens, Bathrooms and Wet rooms, the relaying and refreshing of flooring will also be required.

The proposed contract start date is 11 August 2025

The contract will be awarded as 4 Lots and sub-contractor may bid for all lots or just those that are of interest to their organisation.

The lots that will be awarded as follows

Lot 1 - Wet Rooms

Lot 2 - Bathrooms

Lot 3 - Kitchens

Lot 4 - Flooring

Lot 1. Wet Rooms

Description

The successful sub-contractor will be expected to provide the following works on an as and when needed basis.

• Supply and install over bath shower to include electric shower, tiling, curtain and rail.

• Remove bath, Supply and Install a "Step in" Shower tray, curtain rail and electric shower to concrete floor -

• Remove Bath, Supply and Install "wet area" Shower tray, curtain rail and electric shower, to timber floor.

• Remove Bath, Supply and Install a "wet area" shower tray, curtain rail and electric shower to concrete floor.

Sub-contractors are not allowed to Sub-Sub Contract works out.

It is estimated that there will be approximately 437 installations per year across the main composite codes.

The estimated annual value for this lot is £2,000,531.00 across both the composite and commonly used codes.

It is the intention to award this contract to a maximum of 10-Sub-contractors. No one Sub-contractor will receive more than 30% of the available work by value.

Lot 2. Bathrooms

Description

The successful sub-contractor will be expected to provide the following works on an as and when needed basis.

• Renew Bathroom and Fit Curtain Rail and Shower.

Sub-contractors must note that they are not allowed to Sub-Sub Contract Works out.

It is estimated that there will be approximately 504 installations per year across the main composite code

The estimated annual value for this lot is £1,352,501.00 across both the composite and commonly used codes.

It is the intention to award this contract to a maximum of 10 Sub-contractors, No one Sub-contractor will receive more than 30% of the available work by value.

Lot 3. Kitchens

Description

The successful sub-contractor will be expected to provide the following works on an as and when needed basis.

• Removal and Replacement of Small Kitchen in Tenanted Property, up to 7 Doors

• Removal and Replacement of Medium Kitchen in Tenanted Property - 7 - 13 Doors

• Removal and Replacement of Large Kitchen in Tenanted Property - 13 Doors +

Sub-contractors are not allowed to Sub-Sub Contract works out.

It is estimated that there will be approximately 404 installations per year across the main composite code

The estimated annual value for this lot is £1,851,921.00 across both the composite and commonly used codes.

It is the intention to award this contract to a maximum of 10 Sub-contractors, No one Sub-contractor will receive more than 30% of the available work by value.

Lot 4. Flooring

Description

This lot is tailored towards Flooring Sub-contractors and will allow us to award Flooring works in instances where Sub-contractors on Lots 1, 2 and 3 of this tender are unable to supply.

The successful sub-contractor will be expected to provide the following works on an as and when needed basis.

• Supply and Fit Flooring as per detailed descriptions.

The estimated annual value for this lot is £200,000 across both the composite and commonly used codes.

It is the intention to award this contract to a maximum of 10 Sub-contractors. No one Sub-contractor will receive more than 30% of the available work by value.
