two.1.4) Short description

The Mead Educational Trust currently has thirteen member academies – five secondary and eight primaries all in Leicester and Leicestershire.

The Trust are looking for potential contractors to demonstrate their relevant experience and expertise to manage quality catering services for its secondary and primary academies from August 2022 with a 3 year contract and the option to extend for up to a further 2 years. New schools joining the Trust may join the contract(s) during the contract term.

The tender is being split into two Lots - Lot 1 Secondaries and Lot 2 Primaries.

The financial structure of Lot 1 will be on a guaranteed annual cost/return model.

Lot 2 will be on a fixed price per meal model

The Trust values the individuality of all member academies and expects bidders to demonstrate a sound appreciation of this in their tender submissions and in any proposed initiatives.
