The NHS England NHS Improvement National Commercial and Procurement Hub are undertaking on behalf of NHSX a market engagement exercise in the form of a survey. Interested suppliers should note that this is to inform the national strategy to set in place a new framework for general practice or to explore utilisation/evolution of existing frameworks for general practice utilisation.

Interested suppliers should take specific note of the proposed new standards to be set. We are keen to understand the maturity of the market to these new proposed standards. The product of your feedback will be central to the development of the national strategy.

Interested suppliers should note that this exercise is a market engagement exercise only. Any future competitions or opportunities will not be directly linked to this notice. Interested suppliers should be clear that feedback to this survey is a fundamental step towards the creation of the strategy to deliver an enhanced service to general practice.

Timing is critical to support the development of the strategy to deliver for general practice in the shortest possible timeframe. A 4-week window is presented for interested suppliers to enter their views and comments. The deadline for response to this questionnaire is 5pm on Friday 7th January 2022. Following that a report will be produced in the following fortnight to close this stage and commence the development of the national strategy.

This notice is an information gathering exercise rather than a call for competition in its own right, and therefore publication or response does not commit NHSX or respondents to a future procurement, nor provide any process exemptions or preferential treatment to any parties expressing an interest. Commissioners are looking to establish what interest there might be in providing such a service from suitably qualified, capable and competent organisations.

NHSX will not be liable for costs incurred by any interested party in participating in this exercise. Interested parties should note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an automatic invitation to any subsequent formal procurement, which the commissioners will consider in due course.
