two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Dumfries and Galloway Council are looking to procure a care and repair service to facilitate and deliver home improvement grant awards to people over the age of 60 and/or with disabilities(any age), or long term conditions(any age) for the purpose of adapting their homes.
The service provider will facilitate this process by acting on recommendations submitted by the Council's Occupational Therapists. The Occupational Therapists assess the individuals current and future needs. The service provider will carry out an assessment of the property, scoping of works or adaptations required and the funding options available for the individual. The service provider will administer the process and arrange the work on a trade-by-trade basis.
This service is for one provider to both administer and carry out or sub-contract the works elements where required.
