A previous contract with Alix Partners was awarded for the following reasons: An Expression of Interest process was undertaken through the Crown Commercial Service framework 'Management Consultancy Framework 3' (MCF3). 0 bidders responded positively, due to lack of capability, capacity, previous experience, or lack of conflict of interest. Due to the urgency of this requirement, and the lack of an available market, it was deemed appropriate to award directly to Alix Partners, who were identified through internal research.

Since the awarding of that contract, due to unforeseeable changes occurring in regards to the number of documents needing review, and the associated inability to change supplier due to the expert witness report already being in production, we have awarded a new contract to Alix Partners for this additional work.
