Staffordshire Moorlands District Council are looking to appoint an experienced Architect led Multi

Discipline Team (ALDT) to undertake the following roles for redevelopment/ refurbishment of the Nicholson Institute Building located on Stockwell Street in Leek:

- Lead Designer/ Architect;

- Mechanical and Electrical Engineer;

- CDM Principal Designer;

- Access Consultant;

- Interpretive Designer;

- Contract Administrator.

This project forms part of a wider funding bid/ application by the Council into the Levelling Up Fund that will bring the lower ground floor of the Nicholson Institute back into use as a flexible space that will be used by Buxton and Leek College and the regional Registrar service together with the reinvigoration of the ground and first floors as a hub for the museum, gallery and library services.

The outcome of the bid is expected to be announced at the end of 2022 and the award of this tender is subject to the Council being successful in their bid to the LUF.
