KCS Procurement Services, acting for and on behalf of Kent County Council (KCC), a Professional Buying Organisation (PBO), wish to create a national, user friendly, time and cost-effective Framework Agreement for the supply of Laundry Services. This will be a multi-Supplier framework.
The Framework Agreement will be split into 2 LOTs:
LOT 1 – General Laundry Services
This LOT is for the supply of General Laundry Services, processing (wash and finish), collection and redelivery of hired/owned linen, repairs and alterations and RFID tagging. This would include the following but is not limited to:
• Clean linen (collection and return)
• Patient linen (collection and return)
• Used, soiled and fouled linen (collection and return)
• Infectious linen (collection and return)
• Used uniforms (collection and return)
• Repairs and alterations to linen and uniforms
• Return to sender Service/ linen rental
• Barcoding/RFID tagging for stock control
Associated Services may extend beyond the indicative requirements above and may include, but not be limited to, a fully managed linen Service or an express turn around Service (within 48 hours return from collection)
LOT 2 – Specialist Laundry Services
This LOT is for the supply of Specialist Laundry Services, this would include the following but is not limited to:
• Theatre linen (collection and return)
• Reusable surgical packs including drapes and gowns (collection and return)
• Cleanroom laundry Services
• Barcoding/RFID tagging for stock control
