Oldham Council is looking to commission a care technology service that will help us understand and implement the best care technology solutions for our residents. We need guidance from providers on how to leverage care technology to support our community effectively. The goal is to empower our residents to live independently, safe and well, and achieve their full potential.

The successful provider will collaborate proactively with key partners and stakeholders to deliver a service that leads to positive outcomes for everyone involved.

The service will have three main components:

1. Provide insight into available care technologies and their benefits, helping us select the best options for our residents.

2. Assist in the integration and deployment of chosen care technologies, ensuring they are effectively utilised.

3. Monitor the effectiveness of the technologies in use and make recommendations for improvements as needed.

Ideally, Oldham Council seeks to partner with a single lead provider who can deliver high-quality service and engage effectively with all involved parties. The provider is expected to meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and outcomes specified in the contract.

Market Engagement Event

As part of the commissioning process, we are holding a market engagement event on Thursday 3rd October 2024 and would like to invite interested providers to attend.

The event will provide a platform for us to engage with care technology providers, learn about the latest advancements, and discuss how these technologies can support our vision of improving care services. We are looking to understand:

• Innovative care technology solutions that can enhance the lives of our residents.

• Insights into best practices and successful implementations.

• Feedback on how Oldham Council can best collaborate with technology providers.
