two.2.4) Description of the procurement
YPO are keen to engage with suppliers in the market to support the development of internal contract for packaging materials and consumables to ensure that the contract is fit for purpose and that it meets YPO’s sustainability goals.
In particular, YPO would like to receive feedback from suppliers in respect of the YPO’s current materials used and how they can be improved to reduce singe use plastic. YPO are willing to explore the possibility of using alternative materials if it proves sustainable and/or cost effective.
YPO are therefore looking for suppliers who would be interested in having a conversation
with us to discuss potential solutions. Please register your interest by contacting Chris Mercer at chris.mercer@ypo.co.uk by 04/10/2024. Supplier meetings will take place w/c 07/10/2024 at YPO’s premises or via Microsoft Teams.
Please note that this information is being sought without prejudice and without commitment. Should YPO decide to take this project further, the completion of an RFI or any information provided to YPO by suppliers will not be part of that process nor will the information provided be used to determine the outcome of that process.
Should YPO wish to proceed with any supplier, a formal procurement process will be followed in accordance with YPO’s contract procedures and relevant procurement regulations.

YPO will incorporate a standstill period at the point of notification of the award of the
contract is provided to all bidders. The standstill period will be for a minimum of 08 working
days, and provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before
the contract is entered into.
The Procurement Act 2023 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at
risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and
Northern Ireland).
