two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Contractors will be expected to provide 24 hours a day 365 days a year service for clearing and unblocking of drainage, along with remedial repairs and camera urveys.
Contractors appointed and any subsequent call off contracts will be responsible for ensuring Contracting Authorities drainage systems are maintained at optimum condition and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, installer recommendations, Water Authority Standards, Water Jetting Association codes of Practice and equivalent along with all relevant statutory obligations.
Contractors will be expected to provide drainage services to both standard/domestic building drainage. The contract will cover the following drainage works which may be enhanced or refined by Contracting Authorities under their call off process.
• Reactive service for drain unblocking and jetting
• Improving and upgrading drainage systems
• Soil stack and waste pipe unblocking
• CCTV drain surveys and reports
• Drain repairs including patch repair
• Root cutting
• Drain re-lining
• Interceptor inspections and waste removal
• Any additional tasks needed in association with the above works
Where possible and agreeable by the Contracting Authority no-dig trenchless technology should be used.
