A key theme with the Authority's 5-year strategy is to shape a new approach to prevent insolvency and rehabilitate through education and guidance.
In support of this ambition the Director Education Project is looking at ways to help directors of micro companies that may be at risk of, or are experiencing signs of, financial distress (pre-insolvency).
The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to identify a potential solution that will enable directors to input details of their company into a tool. The tool would then flag potential risks and identify guidance and steps that could be taken with the aim of directors avoiding insolvency, or at least signposting them to guidance and sources of advice that will enable them to take the most appropriate action for their circumstances. The Agency requires information to understand what is available in the market for such a solution. The desired outcome is to understand what is currently available, assess indicative costs, assist with building a specification and help to identify an appropriate route to market if progressed.
