NHS England Primary Care Commissioning Central Team are leading the procurement for Healthcare Waste in Primary Care for the 42 Integrated Care Boards across England.
The services cover the collection, disposal and provision of waste consumables. From primary care health settings predominantly General Practices and Community Pharmacies.
This notice is to inform the market of the upcoming procurement exercise and share in advance the potential contract template. We are interested to hear feedback from the marketplace on the potential template contract in particular Schedules 8 through to 12. Please note the Commissioner is not seeking feedback on Schedules 2, 3 and 4 as these are fixed terms and conditions.
We are also hosting a market engagement online event to present our vision for the new approach to healthcare waste services for Primary Care and will share some further details and insights of the upcoming procurement exercise.
