two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Contracting Authority is tendering for a provider for its leasehold and ancillary property buildings insurance contract, which relates to flats and maisonettes sold by the Contracting Authority under long lease terms. There are 2 separate policies required within the contract covering:

- The main policy where flats have been sold (under the Right to Buy scheme or through other disposals.

- A policy to insure under-leased blocks on a comprehensive basis (currently 2 blocks).

The Contracting Authority's leasehold portfolio totals 14,142 properties.

The contract term is for a 3 year period with option to extend by 2 further 12 month periods, commencing 1 April 2023.
