two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Department of Health and Social Care intend to run a procurement exercise for the supply of intravenous fluids. The intention is for the tender exercise to commence within a few months, and a contract notice will be published on the Find a Tender Service (“FTS”) website. The contract period is proposed to be 24 months, with an option to extend for a further 12 months.

The Contract Authority intends to use the Department of Health and Social Care Atamis eTendering (“Atamis”) online system to manage the tender. Information relating to the tender is available within Atamis.

Suppliers are encouraged, if they have not done so already, to register as quickly as possible with Atamis to ensure they are able to access the tender documentation and the instructions for completion upon FTS publication.
