Section six. Complementary information

six.3) Additional information

We are advertising this requirement as we are interested in speaking to organisations who could supply the required vending machines and enter into a contract with Swansea Council initially for the two sites specified. There is potential for further vending machines to be required for additional sites within Swansea Council premises.

We are looking for a supplier who can provided the machines and products, free of charge.

The term of contract is yet to be decided however the provisional term is 3 years with an option to extend for up to an additional 24 months.

The Council are initially considering three vending machines in the Bus Station, one for hot drinks, one for snacks and a final machine for accessories as described in the detail above. Also two vending machines are being considered in the Central Transport Unit, one for hot drinks and one for snacks.

The contract will include the requirement to maintain the machines including cleaning and routine servicing and to replenish the stock regularly.

The tender assessment will be based on a set of quality questions and also a pricing assessment based on the revenue share offered based on goods sold. Price /quality weightings to be confirmed.

Could you please provide a summary of your business and what service you could provide to the Council.

Also are there any details that you would like us to consider as part of your response to this notice?

If the Council considers you a potential supplier based solely on the strength of the answers provided, would you be prepared to engage in open and non-committal discussions (pre tender market engagement) before any tender for the service is issued by the Council. Please provide an expression of interest with a response to the questions above to Karen.betts@swansea.gov.uk by 18th October 2022
