Lot 1 - The provision of Occupational Health Services to ensure staff remain fit and healthy for work and work does not affect their health, in line with statutory requirements. Keeping our staff fit and healthy will ensure they are able to perform the councils duties to the best of their ability to meet the needs of our services.

Lot 2 - EAP - The Employee Assistance Programme is contracted to provide health and wellbeing advice to Wirral staff and schools and partner organisations as part of an SLA to help all employees remain fit and well in work. Counselling support is also provided as early intervention support to support our highest reason for sickness absence. The service also provides day 1 referrals for staff who report off work with anxiety/stress for early intervention and support. Early intervention is proven to reduce time off.
