two.1.4) Short description

Anglian Water Services Limited is looking to implement a framework agreement, with approximately 25 suppliers, to cover the supply of minor building maintenance works.

The majority of the jobs within this framework will fall under £5,000 however there will be exceptions to this, such as road repairs, where the job values are likely to be higher.

The Anglian Water region covers Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Rutland, Northampton, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Hartlepool therefore we are looking for suppliers that will be able to operate in at least one or more of these areas.

The framework is split into six lots as described in more detail below and within the tender documentation. Anglian Water will allow suppliers to bid for more than one lot.

Lot 1: General Minor Building Maintenance Works

• Pathway, paving and road installation, maintenance and repair

• Structural surveys

• Fencing, gate repairs and edge protection

• Waste removal (including pollution clean ups)

• Internal and external decorating

• Flood damage repair & installation

• Building repairs

• Ducting installation & repairs

• Manhole, metal chamber and pipework replacement and

repairs

Lot 2: Roller Shutter Door Remedials

• Maintenance and remedials.

Lot 3: Fire Containment

• Installing, maintaining and repairing fire doors, including

associated surrounding area (e.g. ceiling void)

Lot 4: Asbestos Removal

• Asbestos removal in low-risk areas (no permit required)

• Could include fly tipping in terms of the removal of asbestos

contained material.

Lot 5: Roof Repairs

• Clear roof area of debris, examine and replace timber roof

structure and / or roofing felt covering, in whole or in part as

necessary.

• Cladding repair and replacement, in whole or in part as

necessary.

• Flat roofing replacement and repairs.

• Roof light replacement and repairs.

• Tiling.

Lot 6: General Plumbing and Heating

• Minor plumbing and heating repairs & maintenance.

• Excludes boilers

• No electrical work

• Water regs works

• Legionella remedials

The annual spend for this framework is circa £4m and we will be looking to put agreements in place with suppliers for a fixed period of two years, with extension options available up to 8 years.
