Description

The Council is re-commissioning it's Long Term Home Support Service, which provides support to adults through the provision of personal care and support delivered in peoples' own homes.

Support will be delivered by adults CQC registered providers within the city, who will deliver services through competent and professional care staff to meet requirements under individual support plans. This will be based on eligible needs and aimed at supporting people to be independent and to achieve their maximum potential. Long term home support is a core adult social care service that meets statutory obligations under the Care Act (2014). The contract will be awarded under multiple lots/providers to support delivery across the city.

The Council may enter a negotiation stage with a Tenderer(s) regarding their Tender and Lot choice, prior to the award of a Contract.

Where a Tenderer has tendered for more than one Lot, award will be made to the highest-ranking provider for each Lot.

Where a Tenderer is the highest-ranking provider for multiple Lots, the Council will enter negotiation discussions with the Tenderer (s) to agree Lot award based on their first choice of Lot.

The unchosen Lots then being offered to the next ranking provider in those Lots. In the case of a provider being the next ranking provider in multiple Lots, they will be offered their choice of Lot, and the unchosen Lots offered to the next ranking provider until all Lots are awarded.

The Council reserves the right to enter into discussion with providers prior to award to agree award based on ranking and preference in line with delivery requirements.
