Fermanagh and Omagh Council (FODC) invites Tenders from experienced hydropower specialists for the Recommission, Operation and Management of the Camowen Hydro Scheme located in Omagh, for a Period of 10 years. . The successful tenderer will recommission the Hydro Scheme, and enter into lease agreement with the Council, which will include a power purchase agreement, whereby the tenderer will supply electricity to the co-located leisure centre at an agreed price point, via the in-situ Council-owned private wire. The objective of the hydro-power facility, is to: • Generate electricity and supply co-located Omagh Leisure Complex; • To sell-off surplus power to the national grid. • To generate and sell renewable obligation certificates (ROC’s) for additional revenue. The main works of the project shall include as follows: 1) Engineering assessment and preparation of a repair and recommissioning plan and budget allocation for the hydro scheme. 2) Liaison with all regulatory bodies to achieve regulatory compliance and signoff 3) Full mechanical and electrical repair to achieve stable operation. 4) Recommissioning of the hydro scheme. 5) Ongoing operation and maintenance of the hydro scheme
