Homes England is seeking to appoint a competent Supplier to design and build a new sports and social facility at the former Whittingham Hospital site, Preston, PR3 2JE.
The scheme will see major redevelopment of the existing Whittingham and Goosnargh Sports and Social Club (WGSSC), once the staff club when the hospital was in use. Works will see delivery of new clubhouse, 11 a-side football pitch, Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), caravan/camping area, car parking and associated ancillary landscaping. The established bowling green will be retained within the scheme.
The Works comprise but are not limited too the following:
• Phasing arrangements as outlined in the tender documents
• Ground improvement works for new clubhouse and kiosk building foundation
• Maintain existing services during the works and provision of all incoming services
• Structure for the new clubhouse and external terrace area including provision of a canopy
• Construction of retaining walls, stairs and provision of step free access (i.e. ramps)
• Installation of surface and foul drainage and connection to the surrounding drainage network
• External cladding and finishes and internal structures, finishes, fixtures and fittings
• Provision of mechanical and electrical services including PV panel installation
• Delivery of an 11 a-side grass football pitch and Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
• Caravan and main car park construction including road markings and lighting
• External works including waste collection and elsan point construction, cycle parking facilities
• Provision of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facility and pop-up electric sockets for caravan park
