two.1.4) Short description

Efficiency East Midlands (EEM Ltd) is a procurement consortium which establishes and manages a range of frameworks and DPS agreements. Our membership has now grown to over 360 members including organisations providing services to the whole public sector including housing associations, local authorities, NHS Trusts, Education Providers and Emergency Services.

EEM Ltd will be conducting a tender exercise for the renewal of its Communal Entrance Doors Framework in September 2024 (EEM0063). Our current Communal Entrance Doors framework expires on the 10th January 2025 and EEM will be looking to have the new Framework go live on the 13th January 2025.

The framework will include the design, supply and installation of both aluminium and steel communal entrance doors and door sets. This is to also cover the maintenance of these doors and automatic operators with provision for responsive call outs.

The intention is to have the framework split into a lot structure similar to the following:

- Supply and Installation of Aluminium communal entrance doors (including maintenance)

- Supply and Installation of Steel communal entrance doors (including maintenance)

(Please note - this structure is subject to change and the final lot structure will be confirmed within the tender documentation and contract notice when published in September 2024.)

The Communal Entrance Doors framework will require suitable contractors to be able to manufacture, supply and install aluminium communal entrance doors and doorsets in a range of sizes, colour, finishes and door furniture and hardware options including entrance doors.

Doors and doorsets procured via this Framework will be:

- Designed to meet the requirements of the Building Regulations

- Available in a range of design and access options to ensure Equality Act compliance

- Compliant with relevant British standards including BS EN 14351-1 latest edition and BS 6375 latest edition.

- Covered by a minimum 10-year guarantee

- Secured by Design, Certisecure or Loss Prevention Certificate Board certified through PAS 24, STS 202 BR2 or LPS SR2/1175

- Vandal Resistance reducing maintenance costs for landlords

- CE marked products to ensure conformity with health & safety and environmental standards

- Available in 30 and 60 minute fire rated doorsets.

In addition to the supply and installation of aluminium communal entrance doors, the framework will also include maintenance in the form of planned preventative maintenance, and also reactive maintenance.
