two.1.4) Short description

The National Audit Office (NAO) the UK's independent public spending watchdog is looking for organisations who can deliver Financial Audit Temporary and Permanent Recruitment Services which support the NAO's permanent and temporary audit staffing needs.

The service will be divided into two lots:-

• Lot 1 Financial Audit Temporary Recruitment Services

• Lot 2 Financial Audit Permanent Recruitment Services

Interested suppliers will be able to submit a bid for one or both of the lots and NAO intends to award contracts to up to a maximum of 5 of the highest-ranked suppliers for each lot (10 suppliers in total).

The contract value for both lots is £12.129m inclusive of VAT and the new contracts are expected to go live by December 2023 for an initial period of 2 years with the option to further extend the term of the agreement for a period of up to two years (on the basis of two periods of 12 months).

The selected recruitment agencies shall be required to perform the services at its own premises or at the NAO's offices in either London or Newcastle.

The selected suppliers awarded contracts will be expected to recruit temporary financial audit staff for the NAO. The estimated value for this lot will be £11.4m inclusive of VAT which is a combination of both agency commission and pay for temporary staff.

The NAO considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
