West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to commission a provider to deliver one to one and one to many consultative support to eligible SME businesses across West Yorkshire. The provider may sub-contract specialist business support as required and/or may provide services directly. The aim is to support businesses to become more resilient and move from survival into growth.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to commission a provider to deliver one to one and one to many consultative support to eligible SME businesses across West Yorkshire. The provider may sub-contract specialist business support as required and/or may provide services directly. The aim is to support businesses to become more resilient and move from survival into growth.

Below are suggested themes that businesses may require specialised support with but is not prescriptive or exhaustive:

• Sales (customer retention) & Strategy

• Business diversification

• Supply chain – local/cross regional

• Productivity

• Cashflow

• Motivation

• Staffing – shortages/new models of working/recruitment

• Tendering

• Investment Readiness

• Accreditations

The indicative budget for this programme, including expenses, is up to £210,000 (excluding VAT).

Please note, the one-to-one specialist support will include a 50% contribution by the SME. This financial contribution will be managed by the successful organisation/consultant.

One-to-many support as this will be funded from the £210,000 budget.

Although the budget for this programme is up to £210,000, the potential income generated by the organisation/consultant could be up to a maximum of £420,000 due to the 50% contribution by the SME.
