Historic England has decided that it would prefer a mechanical extraction system for all spaces that also does not recycle air, i.e. an extract system that exhaust outside of the building. In addition to this we would also like to fit a small air conditioning unit to out mezzanine space that is located above our kitchen area. In addition to the primary works noted above Historic England is also looking to upgrade the current 2 small air handling units to one main "intelligent" air handling unit that can be connected to a BMS system with supporting monitoring systems, to enable the system to be as efficient and as economical as possible in support of Historic England’s policy of moving towards a zero carbon model.
