two.2.4) Description of the procurement
NHS Scotland is exploring options for replacement information technology solutions to deliver functionality of a legal services case management IT system.
The Central Legal Office (CLO), a strategic business unit within NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), currently use a legacy case management system (CMS) called Prescient Plus, procured in 2010. Updates of digital equipment, including servers, have taken place. Access to the CMS from home is only via the NSS secure Virtual Private Network which has also lead to connectivity issues as Prescient is a resource intensive piece of software.
CLO require a solution that can be accessed remotely from anywhere and on any type of device (mobile, tablet or desktop). In addition, consideration should be given to the features the CLO currently make use of on Prescient, namely Fee charging, Billing, Reporting and Document Management.
