two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Environment Agency’s Monitoring Laboratories (formally National Laboratory Service or NLS) have responsibility for the provision of analytical analysis of water samples in accordance with the Agency’s statutory responsibility for monitoring the environment.
Monitoring Laboratories uses discrete nutrient analyser equipment to analyse various environmental water samples (e.g. fresh water, surface water, waste water, ground water, saline water etc) with a range of high throughput analysis for nutrients such as ammonia and phosphates.
Monitoring Laboratories require a supplier for provision of discrete nutrient analysers for nutrient and related analysis. This is to facilitate asset replacement of up to eight (8) nutrient analyser instruments (the ‘Equipment’) over a four (4) year period.
two.2.14) Additional information
The Environment Agency is expecting to follow the Open procedure for this requirement. It is expected that the Environment Agency will require all tenderers to provide an online demonstration of their proposed equipment. Exact dates will be confirmed but are anticipated to take place between 22nd November and 3rd December 2021. The tender documents will be made available on Bravo once available.
