Supply and Installation of Aids and Adaptions

Across its 43,000 homes, Bromford has an ongoing requirement for various aid and adaptations installation works. These works arise on a reactive ad-hoc basis, depending on the needs of the new or changing needs of the existing Customers and are therefore not planned or geographically grouped, they therefore cover the entire geographical area covered by Bromford.

These works are broadly split into the following categories:

1. Minor works installations

2. Major works installations

3. Specialist Disability Prefabricated design and build installation

4. Disabled Facility Grant works in conjunction with Local Authorities

The Contractor(s) will deliver Aids and Adaptation works as instructed in accordance with the Bromfords requirements. The Contractor(s) will be responsible for enabling works, surveys, measurement (design of specialist works), supply, installation, liaison with relevant Customers, Local Authorities, Occupational Therapists, managing planning applications, building control and other statutory requirement and other activities as required to achieve a complete compliant installation.

These works generally involve close working relationship and collaboration with the relevant Local Authorities and Occupational Therapists, in particular where all or a proportion of the works is funded by a Local Authority, e.g., through Local Authorities Disabled Facility Grants.

Bromford expects the Contractor(s) to:

• provide a consistent and high level of Customer focused service, taking into consideration that affected Customers are often prone to being less available due to their medical conditions.

• deliver works efficiently, to the excellent quality standards and to the satisfaction of both Bromford and the Customer.

• ensure consistent quality performance and continuous improvement, ensuring right first-time delivery and minimising defects.

• ensure consistent effective communication with Bromford, its representatives, Customers, and other interested stakeholders; and

• act in the best interests of Bromford and its Customer when delivering Works and adhere to Bromfords values.

The Contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labour, materials, plant, tools, and equipment. The Contractor will also be required to provide a liaison service with Customers throughout the works, including, but not limited to, telephone calls and sending notification letters to the relevant Customers in advance of commencing works, handling Customer enquiries during the works, attending snagging issues and rectifying any defects in a timely manner.

The potential supplier is required to supply the works in accordance with all requirements as set out in the specifications, and pricing schedule and all other information included in this tender, and in accordance with all current regulations and standards pertaining to this work.
