NHS Lothian is looking to purchase a modular Clean Room Facility comprising of:
two aseptic preparation rooms (GMP Grade C), to house one -ve pressure isolator each, manned with 1-2 staff, accessed via:
changing room stage 2 (GMP Grade C) (could be shared between the two aseptic rooms), and serviced from a:
support room (GMP Grade C) containing a refrigerator, manned by 1-2 people, checking activity
One DSR (GMP Grade D) containing cleaning equipment for all classified areas
Changing room stage 1 (GMP Grade C) between the support room and the office
Office (unclassified) – occupied by 2-3 people for documentation management, with at least 2 workstations including 1 computer, label generation and dispatch of completed products that connects to the preparation room
One DSR (unclassified) containing cleaning equipment for unclassified areas and garment storage
Lobby (unclassified) - on entrance to the facility to facilitate decontamination of outdoor shoes and hanging of outdoor clothing and locker storage of personal belongings.
Ensure the unit meets the standards set out in Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services (QAAPS)
Ensure the unit complies with all relevant Health Care and Building Regulations inc Health Building Notes, Scottish Health Technical Memorandum etc.
