two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (“BCP Council”) is seeking Bids for the supply of coffee, hot drinks machines and products. BCP Council requires a single supplier to supply, deliver and maintain the products and equipment at all required BCP Council sites across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole conurbation.
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole has a resident population of around 395,000. Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole attracts over 11.5 million day visitors and 1.65 million stay visitors per year bringing additional revenue of over £821m direct visitor spend. High season runs from April to October. The Seafront hosts a number of family events throughout the year and for four days in August the free Bournemouth Air Festival attracts up to 1 million visitors.
The contract period will be from 1 March 2023 for three years, with the option to extend annually for a further two years. Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full term of the contract would be five years (3+1+1).
