The University is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process to award a contract for the Refurbishment of Marylebone Halls.

Prior to initiating the procurement, the University wishes to establish the level of market interest in participating in the procurement process and the technical and Professional Ability of

candidates to deliver such a project. Any information gathered will be appraised as outlined in the questionnaire and will inform any possible subsequent procurement process . For the avoidance of doubt, this phase of the project will determine whether bidders in the market are suitable for this project.

The date relating to the publication of the ITT is tentative and may be subject to change, but it is estimated that this will be October 2022

This notice is a call for competition for the following works.

Install upgraded lifts and provide new openings to serve all floors.

Demolition and disposal.

Upgrade the interior design and refurbishment of all bedrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.

Redesign the reception area to provide a more aesthetic and functional solution to mail handling.

Undertake works that will improve the reliability of heating and hot water supply.

Improve performance and efficiency of the building.

Innovative ways to meet sustainability targets.

The Contractor is to be equipped with the skillset of designing and implementing a large-scale refurbishment to the Universities requirements. Working collaboratively with the University and wider stakeholders to deliver the scheme on-time and on-budget. Time management is critical to project success. The Contractor is to be aware that responses with scheme values of £5-10 million would be beneficial to the EOI process and subsequent tender.
