two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP) is funded through official development assistance (ODA) as part of the UK’s £500 million Blue Planet Fund. Through the OCPP, the UK government partners with ODA-eligible countries to deliver tangible and positive impacts on the livelihoods of coastal communities that depend on healthy marine ecosystems. The programme supports countries to strengthen marine science expertise, develop science-based policy and management tools, and create educational resources for coastal communities.
Bilateral partnerships under the OCPP are primarily delivered by the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas), the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) and the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
This Contract will be awarded by Cefas as the Contracting Authority, with both JNCC and the MMO included as Authorised Users with access to the Contract as per the Conditions of Contract.
Cefas require the Supplier to provide interpretation and translation services to support the delivery of OCPP in Senegal, across a variety of formats including engagement events, meetings and workshops in-person in Senegal, and online/ hybrid, as well as potentially written requirements. to be delivered in French and Wolof.
Cefas, and JNCC and MMO (the Authorised Users) have a number of anticipated requirements throughout the duration of the Contract but the details of these are not yet confirmed. Requirements will be agreed between the Supplier and Cefas, JNCC or MMO (as appropriate) prior to commencement of any work.
Please note that Cefas is unable to guarantee the volume of work or value for the Contract.
