Our security arrangements currently cover work at the following stations – Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Newcastle, Durham, Darlington, York, Wakefield Westgate, Doncaster and Peterborough. They also include Saturday night train coverage between York and Doncaster / Edinburgh and Newcastle.

LNER are committed to tackling the effects of crime and general anti-social behaviour effectively across the route over which we operate. Tackling anti-social behaviour is a priority, particularly in terms of increasing customer and employee reassurance and perceptions of their personal safety and security.

LNER are now looking for a new contract to cover our security requirements

LNER will be holding a supplier open Day on 5th October in York, further details can be found in the tender documentation.

As a minimum to cover regular events and to support where necessary on an Ad hoc basis where there may have been disruption or additional security is required at one of our 8 stations, or busy trains

Aberdeen Dry Trains - for Customer facing duties on train and security provision to manage the platform prior to boarding the train at Aberdeen, at Edinburgh a security provision will manage the platform in preparation for train arrival, they will then take over form the Aberdeen security and cover Edinburgh to Newcastle train,
