The Council invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced economic operators ‘Bidders’ for the supply and installation of wet pour repairs, and the maintenance/installation/repair of playground/outdoor gym /multi use games area apparatus in the greater Belfast area.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Woodland and Recreation Unit of Belfast City Council is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day maintenance of playground equipment, outdoor gyms, and multi-use games areas (MUGAs), throughout the city. Part of the maintenance service involves a range of unplanned installations/repairs to both playground equipment, outdoor gym equipment, MUGA’s and wet pour safety surfacing due to vandalism, wear, and tear. The requirements of this tender include a range of planned and unplanned/reactive work. The work will include, but is not limited to:

• Minor repair/maintenance of all play equipment, such as rope repairs, aerial runway repairs, roundabout repairs and outdoor gym repairs (supplied by various manufacturers) and any new installations of individual playground/outdoor gym equipment located within all Council playgrounds, to BS EN 1176 and BS EN 16630

• Repair/Maintenance/Installation of wet pour safety surfacing within all Council playground and outdoor gym sites, to BS EN 1177

• Ancillary works, as instructed
