The resulting Framework will be available to all UK Police Forces, Fire Authorities and other Law Enforcement Agencies. The garments are worn by Police Officers and Staff whilst undertaking operational duties. The intention is to award each Lot to a single supplier.

The Softshell Jacket is worn by Police Officers and Staff whilst undertaking operational duties. The Jacket is worn as part of a layering system over standad police uniform and equipment. It is worn either the top layer or as an under garment to the outer waterproof coat.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Yorkshire (PCC) expressly reserves the right ) not to award a framework agreement as a result of the procurement process commenced by publication of this notice; and

If the PCC decides to enter in to a framework agreement with the successful supplier, it does not mean that there is any guarantee of any subsequent call off contract being awarded. Any expenditure, work or effort under taken prior to framework agreement award is a matter solely for the commercial judgement of potential suppliers.

The duration referenced in section 11.2.7) is for placing call off contracts. The value provided in sections 11.1.5) and 11.2.6) is only an estimate. The PCC cannot guarantee to the supplier any business through this framework agreement. All bidders are to be aware that complete garment samples that meet the requirement are to be submitted along with the tender as outlined in the tender documentation.
