Trigger is planning a city-wide, mass participation arts event, commissioned by Festival UK* 22 and presented in the middle of two city centres across Summer 2022. The brief is:
- To procure or supply and grow 4450 Herbaceous Plants, Ferns and Grasses as outlined in detail in the tender document.
- The requirement is to nurture the plants to a high (show garden) standard for guaranteed delivery in late August 2022.
- The plants should be in full growth, balanced, hardened off and free from pests and diseases. They should be established in the container with a strong root system. They should be supplied in a
recyclable rigid container.
- The plants to be grown preferably in a peat-free compost or one containing no more than 20% peat.
The tender is to include trolley delivery over no more than two days to central Birmingham in late August 2022.

4) Access for regular stock inspection throughout growing
period.
5) Adequate handling facilities and delivery capability to
deliver to site in Birmingham within a two day window

List and brief description of selection criteria
The budget available for the supply of 4450 Herbaceous
Plants, Ferns and Grasses is £30,900 + VAT.
Your budget should include a full breakdown and include
costs for:
1) Each plant size and specification (some variation in
container sizes is acceptable but should be specified).
Close varieties to those specified can be suggested
subject to approval.
2) Maintenance, watering, pruning, spacing and potting
on of plants throughout the year up to the point of
delivery.
3) Delivery of all plants on trolleys to central Birmingham
over a possible two day window.
4) Please also outline any additional costs you can
foresee in connection with this growing contract.
