Leicester City Council (LCC) wishes to appoint a single provider to enter into a contract to supply and maintain a computer aided facilities management (CAFM) system for an initial term of three (3) years, with the option to extend for a further two years in 1 + 1-year periods under the same terms and conditions. The supplier would also need to propose and deliver an implementation plan which includes training and data migration.

The City Council holds a diverse portfolio of land and property assets in Leicester and Leicestershire, that support the provision of a range of services for the city’s residents. The extensive land and property portfolio is managed in-house by the Estates and Building Services division.

We employ a Corporate Landlord model – an approach that centralises the provision and maintenance of buildings and provides a joined-up corporate approach to managing our diverse land and property portfolio. Our Estates Strategy sets a direction of travel for our medium to long-term land and property management activities and involves strategic planning to ensure that our assets continue to support current and future service delivery needs.

Like many organisations, we are constantly reviewing how we use our estate, and recognise that an Estates Management/CAFM solution is essential to enable and support high quality management of the corporate and commercial portfolio
