two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The purpose of the Advocacy Gateway Service is to ensure access to advocacy services and support for all professionals and adults wishing to make a referral into Advocacy services or wishing to discuss their needs in relation to Advocacy.

The Provider will assist the Councils in their general duties to provide information, advice and assistance and will signpost individuals to appropriate advocacy services that will assist in securing their well-being outcomes.

To act as a point of contact for those requiring advocacy services, and in particular an independent professional advocate (IPA).

To provide information, advice and assistance to individuals, professionals and carers accessing CVAG, in accordance with their needs, and as defined by any eligibility and threshold criteria.

To raise awareness of and actively promote the service throughout Cardiff, and the Vale of Glamorgan to facilitate take up and engagement with the CVAG
