Wales & West Utilities is seeking to commission market research to inform its current and future decision-making over the next 3-5 years. During the period, research may also be commissioned to inform its Business Plan for the regulatory period from 2026.
Currently, this market research is not specifically defined, but Wales & West Utilities would like to put in place a framework of suppliers able to deliver the requirements as they arise.
Potential service providers should have experience of working with the utility sector and a good understanding of how the energy industry and specifically the gas sector is structured. Wales & West Utilities wants to commission research that engages with audiences in the UK and most commonly with audiences in our geographical operating area of Wales and south west England. Research will most frequently involve domestic consumers and subsets of this group. On occasion, research may be commissioned with representatives of SME's or specific groups of SME's or business sectors such as the public, private or voluntary sectors.
The requirement will be divided into lots and tenders may be submitted for all lots:
Lot 1 - General secondary research insight services - Typically desk research and unlikely to include direct interviews
Lot 2 - Stakeholder including customer qualitative research services
Lots 3 - Stakeholder including customer quantitative research services including use of advanced statistical methods and analysis.
