Description
The University is seeking to procure a contract for The Provision of All Wales Manual Handling and Violence and Aggression Training.
The scope of services includes:
All Wales Manual Handling Passport Scheme Training for all 1st Year Nursing and Allied Health Students
All Wales Manual Handling Passport Scheme Refresher Training for all 3rd Year Nursing and Allied Health Students
Optional - to provide FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) Testing training for first- and third-year students.
The University has a requirement to procure a contract for All Wales Manual Handling and Violence
and Aggression training and the All-Wales Manual Handling and Violence and Aggression refresher.
The minimum contract duration will be for 3-years with a possible additional annual contract extension for a further maximum 2 years subject to the University agreement and satisfactory performance standards by the appointed service provider (s).
The Contract Notice has been advertised on the Sell2Wales Portal & Central Digital Platform via the Find a Tender Service website and the process is being conducted under the Open Procedure of the
Procurement Act 2023 Regulations.
The University preference is to contract with ONE Training provider going forward. However, the University reserves the right to appoint more than one service provider under this contract in order to ensure sufficient resource capacity and capability. In the event that more than one service provider is appointed, then the Service Provider ranked number 1 in this Tender will be allocated the status of "Preferred Training Service Provider" and any other appointed service providers will be allocated the status of "Reserve Training Service Provider", whom will be allocated work to be undertaken when the "Preferred Training Service Provider" does not have resource capacity or capability to undertake individual written training work.

Description of possible extension:
The Contract may be extended beyond the Initial Term on a maximum of 2 [two] occasions, for a period of up to 1 (one) year on each occasion (each a "Renewal Period") at the Authority's sole discretion, by the Authority giving the Contractor not less than 1 (one) months' notice prior to the expiry of the Initial Term or the Renewal Period (as applicable).
Options
The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.
Optional - to provide FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) Testing training for first- and third-year students.

Need to pass Dun & Bradstreet Risk of Failure Score or alternatively Financial Analysis ratios as defined by University Finance Accountants.
Technical ability conditions of participation
Qualified to deliver and provide the training outlined, specifically
All trainers MUST be suitably qualified to the following certification i.e.
IOSH manual handling trainer certificate for manual handling sessions.
NVQ4 for violence and aggression training sessions.
