Derbyshire County Council (The Council) Children’s Services Catering Service is seeking a supplier for the provision of the supply and delivery of groceries and provisions for schools and establishments located within the geographical area of Derbyshire and neighbouring counties.
This contract will provide groceries and provisions to:
- Schools located within Derbyshire and in counties that share a boundary with Derbyshire, that trade with Derbyshire County Council Catering Service. Currently this is approximately 300 primary schools and 20 secondary schools.
- Derbyshire County Council’s Social and Adult Care Services will use this contract for the supply to approximately 25 residential homes for older people and day centres.
- Countryside Services visitor centres at sites across Derbyshire including Elvaston Castle Country Park, Shipley Country Park, High Peak Junction Cromford, Middleton Top Wirksworth and Tapton Lock in Chesterfield.
- The contract will also be used by Derby City Council to supply products for their day centres and homes for older people.
The contract shall be for an initial two-year period commencing on 29 February 2024, with the option to extend for two further two-year periods, up to a maximum of six years.
